Runic Defence is committed to making this website usable for everyone. We build and test to the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard.

Conformance target

This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Conformance is verified during development with automated accessibility linting (axe-core rules via ESLint) and manual review.

Measures we take

Semantic HTML with clear landmarks and a single heading hierarchy per page
A skip-to-content link and full keyboard operability
Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
Colour contrast that meets AA minimums against the dark theme
Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
Labelled form fields with clear error and status messaging
Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting (the hero video falls back to a still image)
